Year 5 Victorian Day
Year 5 pupils stepped back in time to experience life as Victorian children for the day. During the workshop, they discovered the kinds of jobs Victorian children were expected to do and the dangers many faced. Children also took part in traditional Victorian drills, practised handwriting, experienced a Victorian-style reading lesson and completed some sketching activities. In the afternoon, they explored the history of the British Empire and they also enjoyed creating their own Victorian-inspired artwork. The children fully embraced the experience and had a wonderful time celebrating Victorian Day!
